Patricia Callan is a writer of poetry and fiction with an M.A. in English from Salem State University. She is a self-taught artist who works in a variety of media. She lives in Beverly, Massachusetts with her husband, two young daughters, and their numerous imaginary friends. She’s the current fiction editor for Salem State University’s Soundings East. Patricia was the winner of Best in Show for Fiction in the 2017 Marblehead Festival of Arts Writers’ World Contest, and the winner of the Outstanding Work prize for poetry. She has a poem in the November 2017 issue of Drunk Monkeys and will have a painting featured at Dream Pop Press. She loves really dumb podcasts, eating whole, peeled lemons, poetry prompts and glue sticks.
